hey guys in this video we are talking , about an algorithm update now not one , from Google but an algorithm update from , MO must have updated the way they , calculate domain Authority it's called , domain Authority 2.0 so in this video , I'm gonna break down their changes see , what the impact could be on you as a , website owner or as ANSI and go from , there it did't kind of discuss this , Authority scores given but first of all , what is domain Authority anyway domain , Authority is a ranking metric or better , described ass score I guess that was , created Bose company MO in order to , predict how successful a website would , be ranking on Google so it looks at a , number of factors , mostly links which is what Google looks , at anyway and the idea behind the score , is that the score out oaf hundred that , your website gets shows the likelihood , of how powerful your domain is and the , likelihood of how well you rank on , Google as well the score plays quite a , large part in terms of guest blogging , you know when people are out there , looking for link sand looking who to , reach out to to build links domain , Authority is a key metric that , determines how successful their link , building activity will be because if you , get failing from a high domain Authority , website the likelihood is you'll get , great power from that link and improve , your rankings if you get a link fro ma , low domain Authority website then it's , not going to have much impact on your , rankings overall and your actual domain , Authority yourself so these are the two , ways you can look at domain Authority as , a score but more important than that , more's have updated how they calculate , it and there's going to be some winners , and there's going to be some losers as , well personally speaking lucky for Meir , am aw inner my domain Authority score , went up by , seven points after the algorithm update , which is great news for me however a lot , of the people I track on Mars who are , competitors to my website and other , competitors fro mother client websites I , look at their scores have gone down so , ultimately it's hard at the moment to , determine specifically what causes , scores to increase or decrease but the , likelihood is MO is taking into account , the quality of Link's even more so than , they have done previously so therefore , it's a more accurate score and it's a , score that better reflects the actual , quality of links going to your website , so if you'vilest you'vie got some work , to do to start working on some quality , link sand if you'vie gained well done , you'vie been doing things right however , it'snot the be-all and end-all look as , I said people look at domain Authority , but nine times out often when people , look at domain Authority in the first , instance it's a bit of misleading and , a bit of avaunt metric in alto of , ways because ultimately the main , Authority dozen'thieve a direct bearing , on how Google sees your website it's a , metric created by Modesto best replicate , the authority of websites Google looks , at when it comes to ranking websites but , ultimately Google is the main port of , call eyes but , in terms of your score going up , overnight you're not suddenly going to , go up in rankings overnight because mods , and Google are two different things , and it's all about how Google
